This change in the weather has been most welcome and we can see the positive effect in the revival of our grasses, trees and shrubs here at the Maidenbrook Country Park. It’s a pleasure to see such colour among the trees, particularly the glorious pinks of the fruits of the Spindle and the reds in the rosehips of the Dog Rose.
Whilst it’s easy to get distracted among the beauty of the Park there is still plenty to do! To that end we’re renewing the call for volunteers to join the team, helping with odd jobs or regular maintenance, weeding and planting, and keeping our trees and shrubs healthy and happy. Our community Park is fuelled and powered by volunteers and it’s a wonderful place to find solace, motivation and purpose. There is no minimum time or frequency required and a multitude of activities to get involved in, even if it’s just litter picking during a dog walk. It all helps to create a country park we can all enjoy and be proud of.
