Well that was a fantastic new experience! Here at the Maidenbrook Country Park we were thrilled to have a visiting expert come over and conduct a tutorial on scything. This great new skill can be implemented across the grassier areas of the park to manage and top the grasses as needed. It took some practice but all volunteers were able to attune to this traditional skill and we look forward to putting it to further practice in the future.
