Over 590,000 people took part in the activity last year, helping to contribute toward the collection of data on many of our local bird species. Should it transpire that no birds are observed landing within a specific patch, this too is considered critical data in monitoring bird populations and the threats they face.
Although the birdwatch will be held from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th of January, our volunteer team will be on hand at certain key habitats across the Park for an hour between 9am and 12pm, so do say hello and feel free to ask about birds regularly seen across the area.
