Responsible dog-walkers always welcome

Welcome sign and liability

It is an almost daily highlight, here at the Maidenbrook Country Park, to meet a new furry visitor. Seeing walkers out enjoying time with their dogs always brings a smile and it’s great that there is plenty of space for these pets to explore (excluding the wildlife pond of course).

However, it does bear repeating that all dogs visiting the Park should be under strict control. Not everyone is comfortable with an unknown dog approaching them, particularly if off the lead, and there have been incidents of aggressive behaviour from uncontrolled pets which is unacceptable in a public, community space. Please can we remind all dog walkers to be respectful of other visitors using the Park and ensure that they adopt a responsible attitude whilst out with their pets.
