It’s all systems GO at the Park!

Some visitors may have noticed the new developments up at Maidenbrook Country Park of late…what with our long-awaited plans now having been approved. Work has commenced on the development of a Volunteer Hub (how exciting!), which will serve as dedicated storage for all our park-related equipment. Our volunteers are, no doubt, equally looking forward to having a meeting space where jobs lists and other pertinent park information may be stored and shared. The development of this Hub further supports our valuable volunteer team by offering them a dry meeting space for a cuppa during inclement weather, along with other facilities that allow them more time onsite rather than having to be curtailed and restricted by a lack of the necessary conveniences.

We’re equally excited to advise that work is steaming ahead on the newest feature along our Memorial Walk. This World War II memorial is being developed to offer a succinct yet detailed walk-through of the key campaigns during the second Great War. Our newly planted oak trees are certainly establishing themselves and we look forward to unveiling the new memorial during the upcoming VE Day celebrations on Thursday, 8th May!
